(That is the actual publisher, this is legal, you just need an email address, and the only spam they send is book spam, including regular free books. The best of spam.)
There are also two other free books on this one, Witchmark is also great so I’ve got high hopes for the third as well.
(This is good until February 18, 2022.)
PS: If you are outside the USA or Canada. You… you can lie. That is an option you have. The only validation is a drop down menu asking what country you’re in.
a couple months ago someone sent me an ask asking if I’d ever heard of Boquila trifoliolata and I was like ‘no way. this can’t be real’ and i looked it up and it was and I forgot about it until just now when my supervisor and I got sidetracked and I looked it up again to prove to her that it’s real and found out that not only does this plant vaguely mimic the leaves of whatever plant it’s vining on, it does it when it climbs on fake plants too so any theories about how it does it that include gene transfer or chemicals or touching it in any way are just out the window and those were like, the only theories the original researchers had about how it might be doing it. so anyway I am screaming and crying and whatnot
Boquila feels more like a cuttlefish or an octopus; it can
morph into at least eight basic shapes. When it glides up a bush or tree
that it’s never encountered before, it can still mimic what’s near. And
that’s the wildest part: It doesn’t have to touch what it copies. It
only has to be nearby. Most mimicry in the animal kingdom involves
physical contact. But this plant can hang—literally hang—alongside a
host tree, with empty space between it and its model, and, with no eyes,
nose, mouth, or brain, it can “see” its neighbor and copy what it has
“seen.”
A truth window (or truth wall) is an opening in a wall surface, created to reveal the layers or components within the wall. In a strawbale house, a truth window is often used to show the walls are actually made from straw bales.

If this cockatiel was truly being territorial it would be trying to attack the other bird.
You may also notice that it is not hurting the person’s hand, and is certainly not trying to bite them, this is not aggressive behaviour. This behaviour is called beaking (using the beak to interact with another individual in a play/non-aggressive way). The yellow cockatiel is simply trying to get the person’s attention, kinda like poking someone repeatedly until they pay attention to you. It’s not aggressive, just a little bit demanding.
You might also notice that when the person takes their hand away from the white cockatiel, it bows its head and moves closer to their hand. Both of these birds want cuddles, they just have very different personalities and different ways of asking.
